I'm a computer science major!

• Third year concentrating in human-centered computing
• Have always loved to create things
• Hope to develop software for people
• I really enjoy when people can interact with what I make!

How did I get here?

• I think programming is fun
• Used Scratch to explore animations and games
• Joined robotics team in high school
• Coding is a way to dive into other things I'm interested in
• I came up with this scrolly idea Wednesday night (it's Friday right now)

Co-oped last fall at Philips

• Software Engineer Co-op on Hospital Patient Monitoring team
• Built infrastructure for cloud-based messaging
• Created developer tools to streamline the software development process
• Got to see fellow engineers use those tools!

Interned at Sports Reference

• Engineering Intern
• Sports stats easy, fast, and up-to-date
• Developed home pages for baseball's non-major leagues
• Created scoring breakdown table for NHL skaters

CS Discourse Community

• Common goal: interested in exploring computer science and what coding can do
• Values: problem solving, persistence, teamwork, adaptability, curiosity
• Vocabulary: algo, stack, API, IDE, open source, cloud etc
• Genres: repositories for code, technical documentation
• Active participant as a CS student, working in industry

What I'm inspired by
